The First Annual 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament was held Friday, October 21, 2011 at 3:00pm in the Sandalwood Gymnasium.  It was organized by alumni Alex Boures (Class of ’05); David Hacker, Kevin Cato and Brandon Paulsen (Class of ’04).  They are promoting the need for local business support for public schools.  Their goal is to partner with community conscious businesses to raise funds to supplement the athletic department. 

About 150 people attended and over 80 students participated in the event.  Coach Cusack coordinated 22 teams with 4 members on each team.  All participants received t-shirts donated by Dickson Blancas of FSA (Filipino Sports Association) and he also donated medals to the winning team.  The winners were Luis Santiago, Eric Banks, Andrew Griggs and Kendrick McClean of team “Step Up and Get Clown.” They received Jaguars football tickets courtesy of Alex Boures, Kevin Cato and Brandon Paulsen.

Remona Cobb, Select Employer Group Relationship Specialist of Community First Credit Union, presented a check to Sandalwood Athletics for $1,500.00 and David Hacker, President of Construction Specialties of North Florida, made a donation of $250.00.
