The Saints beat Terry Parker 4-2 in the conference final & Paxon in the semifinal 3-2 in 10 innings. Sandalwood defeated Fletcher 7-4 in the district semifinal & Gainseville Buchholz 6-1 for the district championship. Will Campbell (7-2) threw a one-hitter against Buchholz in the final. Matt Miller (10-3) combined with Tim Johnson (1-3) in our regional victory against DeLand 7-5. They made it to the the regional semifinals and lost to Buchholz 5-2.
Dalton Dixon led the team with a .440 batting average and 15 stolen bases, and Josh Mooney hit .408 and led the team in home runs (4 HR) & runs batted in (32 RBI). Kurtis Johnson and Mike Hernandez were a formiddable double play tandem at second base & shortstop, respectively, for the Saints. Miller, Mooney, and Dixon were all-conference selections.
