Carlyce is a product of McArthur High School in Broward County, Florida. She had the distinction of being the only 5 sport athlete in the county and received a scholarship to play volleyball and softball at the University of Florida. While at Florida, she was selected to 4 All Tournament teams, 4 time All State selection, 4 time All Region and the All National - All American Softball team.

Ms. Cononie is in her 24th year at Sandalwood and has coached 3 varsity sports (volleyball, basketball, and softball) for the first 19 of those years. She gave up basketball to make room for her duties as Athletic Director, and gave up volleyball in her 21st year and will continue to coach fastpitch softball in her 23rd year.

During her 23 years at Sandalwood, her teams have won several District Championships and in 1996 she took her basketball team to the state finals. She was also selected as Teacher of the Year in 2000.

Ms. Cononie is dedicated to Sandalwood and places emphasis on student-athletes having high standards of excellence, both in the classroom and in athletics.
