Two SHC members, Scott and Alex, participated in a presentation on reptiles at the Murray Hill Branch Library.  As Mr. Monlezun did most of the talking, Scott and Alex held the animals in full view for the children to see.  At the conclusion of the speaking portion, lines were formed and Scott and Alex had animals out for each of the children to come up to and touch or hold.  the average age of the kids was about 8 and all 30 of them seemed to enjoy seeing our animals.  We brought a black milksnake, snow corn snake, normal corn snake, Florida kingsnake, anthill python, Burmese mountain tortoises, and a gopher tortoise.
Most of the kids had smiles on their faces as they got close to the animals.

A few of the many pleased visitors to the library
