Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at San Jose Elementary School. San Jose is a “B” school that demonstrated on the FCAT that our diverse population of children can move toward the standard.  Many of our children made wonderful gains in their performance in reading and mathematics. This year our school theme is, Building Blocks to Learning: Constructing Tomorrows' Leaders. Our goal is to establish an environment that promotes learning and achieving at all levels.  As our teachers grow into a learning community, their expertise will be utilized to create an atmosphere that encourages our students to learn and grow academically and socially.

San Jose is a learning community that utilizes  the standards-based design of the district and Multiple Intelligences to develop student skills and improve student performance. We are focused and ready to tackle this school year in a very positive and strategic way.  We hope that you join us and support us.  Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and our School Advisory Council (SAC) can always use parents to give us ideas and assistance with school activities, so please join our PTA and consider sitting as a part of our SAC team which meets once per month.

We look forward to a great school year and hope that each and every one of your students gains the skills to become one of tomorrows' leaders.
