Principal's Message 

Dear Family and Friends of San Mateo Elementary,

     Welcome to our new and improved San Mateo Website!  It is my sincere hope that you will find this site helpful and informative.  We are striving daily to keep San Mateo competitive in the educational field by finding improved ways in which to communicate with our parents, students, and future San Mateo prospects.  It is with this in mind that I would like to say "Thank You" to the following who make our school "the best kept educational secret on the Northside!"

• The faculty, staff, and students of San Mateo Elementary for achieving an “A” for seven consecutive years! (Florida’s Accountability Report)
• Our PTA and its officers who continually amaze me in the ways in which they support and provide enrichment activities for social growth, improved academics, and community service for all students and their families. 
• The School Advisory Council (SAC) which seeks to continually build relationships and provide insight to San Mateo staff in order for informed budgetary decisions to be made.
• Our numerous Volunteers and Business Partners who provide services that are invaluable to the success of our school.

     Without the continued efforts and commitment of all parties, San Mateo would not be as effective in its ability to prepare children for their lifelong educational journey which has only just begun.
