FCAT

The FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test) is given in third, fourth and fifth grades.  Seabreeze recognizes the importance of preparing the students to do their best.  Teachers at Seabreeze use many strategies proven effective from the American Choice Design.  After school tutoring is also offered to help students.

Safety Patrols

The Seabreeze Safety Patrols are an important and visible group of fifth graders. They work every day to assure the safety of students as they travel to and from school.  They also serve as greeters and guides for visitors. And they take care of and plan ceremonies for our flag. To be selected is an honor.  Students must demonstrate the qualities of leadership, reliability, punctuality, courtesy, and interest in safety, outstanding grades, and good attendance.

Math Superstars

Math Superstars is a supplementary math activity.  All students are invited to participate in the weekly program.  The problems are designed to help students become independent learners.  The problems help students develop problem-solving skills beyond memorization of facts. Each Monday, students in first through fifth grade receive their worksheets.  They have a week to solve the problems.

Kindergarten students begin in January.

Students with 90% participation receive special recognition in awards assemblies in November and March.  Kindergarten students are included in the March assembly. Our school also participates in the District Wide Math Superstars.  Students complete a written test and the student in each grade level with the highest score represents our school.
