Here’s what Mrs. Lemine has to say about Katie: Katie has the uncanny ability for someone her age to see beyond the matters that occupy most teens. She is fun and enjoys life and she also knows that her writing is meant for a purpose. She actively seeks and finds outside-of-school opportunities to submit her work. Her writing leaves you motivated, educated and encouraged. Katie is "real" like The Velveteen Rabbit wrapped in the skin of a wonderful young writer whose world enlarges with every story she writes.
