The Duval County School Board narrowed down the semifinalists for Superintendent to three on August 28, 2012. The Board will reconvene the second week of September to discuss the plan to move forward with the Superintendent Search.

On August 16, 2012, the School Board met with the Superintendent search firm to narrow down the list of candidates for Superintendent of Duval County Public Schools. The School Board reviewed each of the candidates resumes and narrowed the applicants down to five. The five finalists that will be interviewed for Superintendent are in alphabetical order:

Finalists met with Envisioning Committee members and the public at 5:30 p.m.
August 28
Formal interview process with Board members (streamed live on www.duvalschools.org.)
Board met to narrow down the list of finalists.
LIVE WEBCAST
Following the interviews on the 28th, the Board will decide which candidates to bring back for a second interview. These finalists will be invited back to visit schools and meet with community members, and continue conversations with Board members.
