Individuals with Disabilities Educational Improvement
Act (IDEIA), Part B and Pre-Kindergarten Disabilities -
$32.2 Million
Entitlement grant to provide
specially designed instructional support for students
with disabilities. The American
Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) identified
specific areas of concentration to assure significant
improvement in student outcomes, make gains in student
achievement, close the achievement gaps between general
education students and students with disabilities,
improve the graduation rates of students with
disabilities, and prepare students with disabilities for
post-secondary education and/or employability.
Current Status: 50% of IDEA ARRA
Funding (Phase I) and 100% of IDEA, Part B Entitlement
grant funding has been received.
Purchases related to Phase I ARRA funding have begun and
will continue along with Phase II funding until the
deadline encumbrance date of September 30, 2011.
