Fiscal Stabilization Fund - $43.7 Million
Entitlement grant used to
fund reinstatement of positions to support equal
distribution of teachers, support struggling schools,
and enhance the quality of academic assessments.
Elementary schools were funded at the same level of
supplemental funding as was provided during the
2008-2009 school year for Art, Music, Physical Ed,
Media, Guidance and Academic Coach. Provided
positions to secondary schools based on Challenge School
factor, dollars per Base Student Allocation (BSA) and
additional support services funding. Funds were
also used to provide intensive summer academies for low
achieving students.
Current Status: All 2009-2010 funds allocated as
appropriate; Awaiting federal approval of Phase II
funding
