June 5th is the last day of school
Summer Break
Summer Break is here! We often hear from parents asking us what their students can do over the break to prepare for the next school year.
Here are some programs and events that can keep your students engaged over the summer and help them get ready for the 2009/2010 school year!
*Remember: The first day of school is Monday, August
24, 2009. For more important dates, please view the
DCPS 2009/2010 District Calendar.
This year, we are proud to announce that we were able to extend
our summer school programs due to money
received through the economic stimulus package. In addition to our normal summer school programs offered to
students in grades 1-12, we have established new Superintendent's Summer Reading & Mathematics Academies
for students attending Turnaround and Correct II schools.
