climate survey results
Is my school safe? Is my school clean and attractive? Are volunteers always welcome at my school? Does my school provide positive experiences for all of its students?
These are a few questions that parents and students, along with teachers throughout Duval County, have an opportunity to answer in the School Climate Survey that is distributed annually to middle and high schools throughout the district.
In an effort to better serve the community, the survey measures student, parent, and teacher satisfaction with the programs and services offered by the schools.
The surveys are completed by all teachers, at least 15 percent of parents, and by at least 15 percent of middle and high school students. The results from each school are tabulated and included in the school district's School Public Accountability Report and Strategic Plan.
The School Climate Survey is administered each Spring. Schools are asked to survey: 1) the parents/guardians of approximately 20% of the student body 2) all employees of the school, and 3) 20% of the student body (grades 6-12 only) The surveys require Acrobat Reader to view.
