Times:
Elementary: 8:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Secondary: 7:15 a.m. - 1:45 p.m.

Elementary ESOL Program

The Elementary ESOL summer program is designed to assist K-5 English Language Learners in the process of developing language and literacy skills necessary for academic success. Students will receive standards-based whole group and small group instruction in reading and writing, speaking and listening. This program is NOT for promotion.

Secondary ESOL Program

The Secondary ESOL summer curriculum will focus on language and literacy development through standards-based content instruction. Students will spend half of the day with a traditional ESOL teacher, using English Language Development curriculum. The other half of the day will be with a certified social studies teacher, and curriculum and materials will be designed to provide background knowledge of U.S. History and Civics. In both classes, support will concentrate on improving oral language, reading and writing skills. It is a full day program, with transportation provided, but this program is NOT for promotion.

*ESOL students who need to recover a course for promotion should attend one of the Summer Recovery Programs.
