2009-2010 Kindergarten Registration
Duval County Public Schools has designated the week of April 20-24,
2009, our official 2009-2010 Kindergarten registration period.
During this week, we will also launch student registration for our year-round
Title I Pre-kindergarten Program and the state required Summer Voluntary
Pre-kindergarten Program (Summer VPK).
Kindergarten
During registration week, all DCPS elementary
schools will hold Kindergarten registration for the
2009-2010 academic year. If you are not sure what school
your child should attend, please call our Pupil
Assignment Office at 904.390.2144.
Children must be five on or before September 1,
2009, to be registered for Kindergarten.

Title I Pre-kindergarten
Designed to meet the special needs of four year olds who would be
at-risk entering the regular school setting, Title I Pre-kindergarten is
currently offered at
21 Duval County elementary schools.
To be eligible for the program, your child must live in the school's designated
attendance zone and must be
4 years
old on or before September 1, 2009.

Summer Voluntary
Pre-kindergarten (VPK)
Summer VPK is offered through the Early
Learning Coalition of Duval (ELC).To be eligible your
child must be 4 years old on or before September
1, 2009 and has not already participated in the
VPK program.
Early registration will be held at
Arlington and
St. Clair
Evans elementary schools, and the Early Learning
Coalition of Duval, 6850 Belfort Oaks Place, Suite 102.
All children will receive a free book with their early
registration.
