DCPS' Curriculum and OnCourse

The mission of Academic Services is to provide support for the implementation of high quality educational opportunities for children. This mission is in line with the District Vision & Guiding Principles.

The curriculum for Duval County Public Schools is housed in OnCourse. OnCourse transforms the static statement of goals and methods into a dynamic interface - thus making it an interactive curriculum map.

Destination Success is an online Reading and Math software program that is accessible 24/7 to ALL elementary students enrolled in Duval County Public Schools.  The content is engaging and aligned to our Reading and Math curriculum.

The DCPS Academic Looking Glass newsletter is a quick reference guide that details the district curriculum that students should be learning during a sliding two week window in the core content areas of Science, Math, Reading, Writing, English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies.  The Looking Glass is distributed electronically to principals, teachers and district staff on a bi-weekly basis during the school year.  Other content areas regularly covered by the newsletter include Read 180, select Advance Placement (AP) courses and timely information from departments such as Exceptional Student Education and Guidance Services.
