What is Available in Riverdeep Learning Village?
The initial phase of implementation for Duval County's
Instructional Organizer is the core subject areas for
grades 6-10. Currently, all unit plans for Math,
Science, Social Studies and Language Arts are accessible
within Learning Village.
In addition to curriculum unit plans, Learning Village
contains lesson plans that are aligned with Sunshine
State, District, and Performance Standards. Most Lesson
plans include: rubrics, PowerPoint presentations, web
links, video clips, and additional rich instructional
enhancements to engage students. Each lesson plan
correlates with the district's model for instructional
delivery with an emphasis on best teaching practices.
The Elementary implementation is currently underway and
will be fully accessible in the near future. Riverdeep
Learning Village transforms the static statement of
goals and methods into a dynamic interface - thus making
it an interactive curriculum map.
