the credits required for a student’s high school
graduation going to change?

Answer: Although the
required number of credits for high school
graduation was reduced from 26 to 24, the only
credits no longer required are the mandatory
ninth-grade Keystone Course and one elective.

Question: Does
Duval County have lower graduation requirements
than other Florida school districts?
|

Answer: No. Duval
County continues to have the most rigorous
graduation requirements of any district in the
state of Florida. We require an additional
science credit, two world language credits, and
Geometry and Algebra II (not required by the
state; the state only requires Algebra I).

students have less classroom instructional time?

Answer: No. The number
of minutes per course remains the same.
