Student Safety Agreement

  • The purpose of the Student Safety Agreement is to provide information and instructions about general safety procedures for science laboratory activities. Students are expected to read, understand and follow the safety rules contained in the Student Safety Agreement. Click the link below to open and print the Student Safety Agreement.

  • Teachers should review the safety agreement with students, who should then share the agreement with their families. Teachers should keep a copy signed by student and parent or guardian on file. Each student should have a copy in their science notebook. When students new to the district enter classrooms during the year, teachers should provide safety instruction and a copy of the safety agreement before students engage in lab activities. Teachers are advised to assess student understanding of science safety procedures on a regular basis.
