Integrating Microsoft Paint in the Curriculum 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Beginning Windows 98 experience Grab your electronic paintbrush and join us for an afternoon of fun! Have hands on experience weaving the tools and colors found in Microsoft Paint into science, math, language arts and social studies.
Using Technology Tools to Retell a Story 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Beginning Word and Beginning PowerPoint experience Add excitement to retelling a story by integrating technology which supports curriculum and technology standards. In this workshop learn how to use various Microsoft applications to actively involve students in reading instruction.

Power Teaching with PowerPoint (II) 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Beginning PowerPoint Skills Learn how to add sound, video, and graphics from outside sources, animate charts for interactive activities, and insert buttons with special effects
Crunching  Numbers and Displaying Data with Excel for the Secondary Classroom 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 None Experience first hand Excel's capabilities as a powerful spreadsheet for crunching numbers and displaying data. Learn the basics of creating and formatting a spreadsheet for performing simple calculations and creating charts
Analyzing Data with Excel (II) 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Spreadsheet knowledge Upon completion of this hands-on module participants will know how to use Excel as a database management tool. The activities include creating a database, querying and filtering data in a spreadsheet, and setting up a mail merge
Catch the Wave of Internet Integration 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 None Fine tune your searching and browsing skills in addition to learning strategies for managing all of the Favorites. Participants will visit various educational sites that provide comprehensive instructional information and activities.
Enhancing Reading Comprehension with Scavenger Hunts 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Internet Experience Scavenger hunts provide avenues for students to practice problem-solving, improve reading comprehension skills, and conduct research using the Internet. Participants will learn how to develop their own scavenger hunt.
Creating Web-Quests for Inquiry-Oriented Projects 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Internet Experience Teachers will learn how to edit htm documents, insert graphics and hyperlinks, use themes, and create bookmarks in Microsoft Word. Participants will be shown how to utilize Web Quests both on and off a network
Informational Tools: Using ProQuest, Grolier, and Maps101 4 hour class School Media Specialists and K-12 Teachers 4 none Harness the power of online content with online tools such as ProQuest, Grolier Online and Maps 101 to create engaging learning environments that promote student achievement
Integrating Technology in Reader's and Writer's Workshop 4 hour class K-8 Teachers 4 Basic Internet Skills  This class will focus specifically on specific Mini-Lessons and activities that are based on literature (both fiction and informational) and provide a technological application
Using PowerPoint to Create Electronic Portfolios 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Basic Power Point Skills Teachers will discover the ease of managing classroom portfolios by using a portfolio template in PowerPoint. Teachers will learn how to link student documents, add photos, and additional assignments to meet the portfolio requirements.
StoryQuest: An Adventure in Reading and the Internet 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Basic Word Processing Skills This course will review the S.C.O.R.E. Cyberguides and use them for examples on how to create internet adventures that is based on reading (both fiction and informational) materials
Publishing:  Find the Writers in Your Classroom 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Basic Word Processing Skills This course will focus on how to teach students to publish their written assignments. This class will cover adding graphics, revision steps, editing, animations (electronic portfolios), adding backgrounds, and color
Extra!Extra! Read All About It!  Using Word to Create a Newsletter 4 hour class K-12 Teachers 4 Basic Word Processing Skills This course will focus on using Publisher and a novel/story and creating a newspaper. Teachers will learn how to take the main events from a story (both fiction and informational) and compare it to a real newspaper
Kidspiration 4 hour class K-5 Teachers 4 Basic Computer Skills In this workshop, participants will learn how Inspiration software can be used to support reading and writing instruction throughout the curriculum. Participants will receive a free copy of Kidspiration

A Look at free Online Resources 2 hour class K-12K-12 Teachers 2 Basic Computer Skills This course identifies ways that the Internet can enhance classroom instruction.
