Professional Quality Service
The PQS concept was developed by maintenance employees with a goal of becoming the the best public school maintenance operation in the State of Florida.
Achieving this goal requires sound objectives, action strategies and a means of measuring the successful completion of milestones.
The PQS logo was designed and implemented into daily operations of the Maintenance Department as a symbol and a reminder to all maintenance employees, school and administrative personnel, as well as students, teachers and parents of the commitment to provide "Professional Quality Service For Our Children's Future". This logo and mission statement is installed on all maintenance vehicles, uniforms, letterheads, etc. The success of the PQS concept will inevitably highlight perceptions of maintenance performance. The Duval County Public Schools Maintenance Department is proud of the PQS program and believe that by maintaining facilities in an as-built or better condition will increase the life of the building and provide safe operational learning environments.
