The Schultz Center is a major service provider of professional development for DCPS.  The Schultz Center is a unique state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance the professional skills of all education professionals.  It is flexible and comprehensive, complete with cutting edge equipment and technology.

 

What is the Schultz Center?

An independent, non-profit corporation, the Schultz Center has been established to provide professional development services to Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. Johns county schools.

Created through state funds from the state matched with locally-raised private donations and grants, the Center opened for business March 2002. It is a living symbol of the support that the community has for educators continued best efforts and professionalism.

Training opportunities are offered at the Schultz Center facility, school sites, two-way video conferencing, and through online learning.

It is beautiful. The Schultz Center facility is designed as a state-of-the-art training facility, complete with cutting edge equipment and technology.  Those using the Center will find it tastefully furnished and decorated to standards of a Fortune 500 Corporation.

It is flexible and comprehensive.  Everything from a small group discussion to a full-blown conference can be accommodated professionally and comfortably at the Center.  With seven individual conference rooms, three computer labs, an auditorium capable of hosting large audiences, and banquets (or being divided into up to three additional classrooms) and other assorted spaces, the Schultz Center is designed to handle whatever is needed.

It’s designed to support professionals.  The facility offers more than just a place for training or meetings.  The facility offers an Internet connected lab, a comfortable lounge, and on-site catering service.
