Career and technical education prepares students for a wide range of careers, from registered nurse to computer technician that require varying levels of education --from high school to postsecondary certificates to two- and four year college degrees.

What is the Florida Gold Seal Vocational Award?

A:

Gold Seal Awards are a part of Bright Futures that will cover 75% of a student's college tuition. Student must earn an 880 on the SAT, earn 3.5 gpa in 3 vocational courses within the same program of study and have an overall gpa of 3.0

Career clusters are groupings of careers that share similar characteristic and whose employment requirements have common interests, strengths, and competencies. Career clusters identify pathways from secondary to two and four year colleges, industry certifications and the workplace so students can learn in school what they can do in the future. This motivates students to work harder and enroll in more rigorous courses.
