ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES (ESOL)
What We Do
The English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) office monitors the
progress of our students into the English language. We have 13 in-school centers
specializing in serving ESOL students in those schools as well as those
transported from neighboring schools. Additionally, ESOL has four program
schools which have large ESOL populations within their school boundary area.
These program schools only serve their own ESOL student populations.
Approximately two-thirds of Duval county schools serve active ESOL students.
