What We Do
The role of the Department of Alternative Education/Safety Nets is to provide programming at the elementary, middle, and high school levels to both ensure that students remain on track with their peers and to offer alternative routes to high school graduation for academically at-risk students.

Safety Net Programs
Our safety net programs, designed to provide the additional assistance needed by some students to remain on track, include programs such as the TEAM UP Program and the Accelerated Learning Center-Credit Recovery Program.

Dropout Prevention Programs
Our dropout prevention programs, designed to offer academically at-risk students an alternative route to high school graduation, include programs such as the Graduation Initiative and the Comprehensive Accelerated Learning Centers.
