The Duval County School Board consists of 7 members elected by their constituents. They are the official policy-making body for all education related issues for the Duval County Public School System.

Salary

The current salary for a Board Member is $37,300.00.

Board Member salaries are governed by Florida Statute Chapter 145.  Below is the section of our Policy Handbook which addresses this issue.

CHAPTER 2.00  - SCHOOL BOARD GOVERNANCE AND ORGANIZATION

SALARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS 2.24

Effective upon approval, and continuing the first regular meeting following the organizational meeting in November of each year thereafter, the annual salaries of the Board members shall be adjusted when the salaries of the state constitutional officers are adjusted by the annual factor adjustment as set forth for constitutional officers in Chapter 145, F.S.
