Superintendent's Star Reader Book Club
All Duval County
Public Schools' students who read twenty-five books are
eligible to become a member of the Superintendent’s Star
Reader Club. Students must record their books with their
classroom teacher. The teacher then reports the names of
students who have met the challenge to the school media
specialist who gives out invitations to the annual
reading celebration.
Students who meet the twenty-five book standard are
invited to an end of the year celebration that honors Duval County
students.
The celebration is organized by WJCT, Jacksonville
Public Libraries, Chartwells-Thompson and Duval
County Public Schools to promote reading in our
community.
