Duval County Teacher of the
Year
At the 16th Annual
EDDY Awards on Thursday, April 12, Michelle Stinson was
named as Duval County’s Teacher of the Year. She was
introduced by two of her students in a touching
presentation. Stinson is a first grade teacher at Henry
F. Kite Elementary. She has more than 16 years
experience in teaching. Stinson believes it is
important to serve as a role model for children whether in the classroom
or the mall. She prides herself on the environment that
she creates in the classroom and strives to create an
organized, nurturing, happy and positive atmosphere.
Stinson will receive $3,000 from the local Rotary Clubs
of Duval County. Congratulations, and thank you for
your dedication to Duval County students!
Congratulations also are in
order to the five Duval County Teacher of the Year
finalists, 11 Area Semifinalists, and more than 150
nominees! The five semi-finalists will receive $2,000
each.
