Get the Real Story on Sunday
The latest edition of DCPS’s
student-focused television program, REAL School
airs this Sunday, November 4, at 10 a.m. on WJCT-TV,
Channel 7, Comcast Channel 8. Three stories show how
DCPS is utilizing innovative programs to prepare all
students for the changing conditions in the “real”
world. Students at Pine Forest School of the Arts tell
how they enjoyed working with Jacksonville architects to
build their own quarter-scale city, Boxenville. Details
are offered about the most demanding college prep
program in the world that is offered at Raines and
Mandarin High schools. In the final segment, students
call “attention” to JROTC programs that promote
citizenship and discipline and often lead to future
educational opportunities. |
