• that DCPS implemented the IRIS (Immediate Response Information System) Communication Alert System? This communication system is designed to alert parents, staff and community members to any emergency. From threatening weather conditions to transportation hazards, DCPS is now able to provide recorded messages to the homes, work locations, or mobile telephones of all students and employees.
