On April 23, DCPS' Grants Department will host a Grant Writing workshops for teachers, principals and district administrators. Free Economic Globalization Symposium
If you are interested in knowing the impact Economic Globalization will have on your future, plan to attend Economic Globalization and Us, a symposium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on April 22 at the Schultz Center. Here you will learn a historic perspective, present day impact, and the implications economic globalization has for our future and the future of our students and children.
You will learn of investment strategies for our ever-changing world marketplace. This program is sponsored by First Coast Scholars, the Schultz Center for Teaching and Leadership, and Community First Credit Union.

Step Off 2009
Join Stage Aurora and area stomp teams for a night of foot stompin’, chanting, and high kickin’
fun. Area step teams will compete for a first place cash prize of $500 in each
division. All participants will receive a complimentary participation prize. The Step Off will be held Saturday, April 25, at 7 p.m., at Stage Aurora Performance Hall, 5188 Norwood Avenue (Inside the Gateway Town Center). Download the

Free Chilean Ship Tour
On May 5-7, the Chilean naval fleet tug ship Blanco Encalada (FF-15) will host free tours on the Jacksonville Northbank Riverfront. Tours are open to the public and will be held daily from 1 – 8 p.m. Proper clothing is required (no skirts or high heels) and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
