School Board Approves Changes to Transportation
On April 7 at the monthly meeting of the Duval County School Board, the following changes were approved regarding the transportation of Duval County:
• Extends the minimum walking distance for a student to an assigned school from 1.5 to 2 miles
• Extends the minimum walking distance for a student to a their bus stop from 1 to 1.5 miles
• Bus stops for magnet students will be located at or near schools at distances that could be greater than the proposed 1.5 mile limit for bus stops.
