Duval County Public Schools Offers Free Technology Training to Parents
Parent technology training sessions are being offered to the parents/guardians of all DCPS' students to allow them the opportunity to learn about the more than 20 educational web subscriptions available to DCPS students.
The free student resources include media rich encyclopedias, educational games and additional tools to make learning more engaging. Parental knowledge, interaction and understanding is essential to ensuring students take advantage of these resources.
All training sessions will be held at The Schultz Center for Teaching & Leadership, 4019 Boulevard Center Drive, on the following dates:
• Saturday, February 7, 2009: Elementary Session, 8:30 – 10 a.m.; Secondary Session, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Saturday, February 21, 2009: Elementary Session, 8:30 – 10 a.m.; Secondary Session, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Saturday, March 7, 2009: Elementary Session, 8:30 – 10 a.m.; Secondary Session, 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
