Join in Public Awareness Campaign
Delores Barr Weaver and the Jaguars are continuing to lead citywide efforts to promote the importance of public education in Duval County. As a Jacksonville community leader and philanthropist, she believes that public schools must prepare all children to be contributing citizens and future leaders. She says, “We must accept no less than a Quality Education For All.”
Mrs. Weaver is leading a campaign of public awareness and wants Jacksonville residents to know each of us - educators, businesspeople and citizens - play a role in public education. She is asking local chamber members to include the "Quality Education For All: The Key To Jacksonville's Future" logo in all advertising, stationery and brochures to create public awareness. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been including the logo in all its visual materials for more than two years and has asked its business sponsors to do the same.
Mrs. Weaver is inviting all DCPS employees to join the campaign. It's easy. Simply go to
http://www.duvalschools.org/static/aboutdcps/superintendent/quality.asp and download the "Quality Education For All" logo. Then include it in your e-mail signature and at the bottom of printed materials that you produce. This logo, of course, doesn’t replace the DCPS logo but is used as a complement to it.
