Regions Bank/Northeast Florida Education Guide Front Cover Art Contest
Clements Publishing Co. and Regions Bank invite all Duval County Public Schools’ students to participate in their 2nd Annual Cover Art contest. This year’s theme is "What does going green in your school mean to you?"

Teaching as a Second Career Workshops
DCPS’ Recruitment and Customer Relations Office, along with Florida State College at Jacksonville and the universities of Florida and North Florida, will host several “Teaching as a Second Career” workshops for those interested in teaching children and impacting the future.
Workshops will be held December 3, January 19, February 11 and March 4, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at the Schultz Center for Teaching and Leadership, 4019 Boulevard Center Drive. To learn more about the workshops, visit

Stage Aurora Theatrical Company Announces Bob Devin Jones as Langston Hughes
On Thursday, December 3, Stage Aurora will present a free lecture series as Bob Devin Jones portrays Langston Hughes. Jones will both entertain and enlighten the audience with his performance of Langston Hughes, leading light of the Harlem Renaissance, whose poetry, novels, plays and essays celebrated African-American culture, humor and spirituality.

Beaches Fine Arts Series Community Outreach Programs
On December 3 and 4, the Beaches Fine Arts Series will host a Celtic Tunes and Ancient Tales concert by the Ensemble Galilei for elementary students, and a “Poetry Reading” workshop for middle and high school students.
