2010 NOBLE Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit DCPS' Students
The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executive will host a charity golf tournament to benefit the
faculty, students and staff of Eugene Butler Middle School and S. P. Livingston Elementary School.
The event will be held Monday February 15, at the Panther Creek Golf Club (one mile south of I-10 on Chaffee Road).
The cost is $75 per person or $300 for a four-person team. For registration and event information, download the

Florida Fund for Minority Teachers, Inc.'s 2010 Teacher of the Year
The Florida Fund for Minority Teachers is currently accepting nominations for the 2010 Teacher of the Year. This
year’s winner will receive a $1,000 cash award as well as a beautiful commemorative trophy and will be recognized at the 2010
annual conference to be held in Orlando, Florida. A runner-up will be selected as well and receive a $500 cash award.

National Competition Opens for Municipalities and Businesses to Compete for Best
Neighborhood Program Award
The Board of Directors of Neighborhoods, USA (NUSA) is pleased to announce the opening of the competition for the
2010 Best Neighborhood Program Awards. These awards recognize the outstanding work of government entities and businesses for their work
to improve the quality of life in their communities.
In order to be considered for the 2010 Best Neighborhood Program Award, applicants must have completed a noteworthy
neighborhood improvement project in 2009, and submit a completed application with the appropriate application fee postmarked by
Feb. 15, 2010.

Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Accepting Award Nominations
The City of Jacksonville and the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Commission will accept nominations for the 4th Annual
Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Awards through Feb. 26, 2010. These awards showcase individuals, businesses, organizations and schools that
are making strides to keep the city clean.
Applications for the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful Awards may be downloaded from the City of Jacksonville’s Web site

Road to Olustee: Student Experience Day
The City of Jacksonville’s Department of Recreation and Community Services will host the Road to Olustee: Student
Experience Day at the Camp Milton Historic Preserve, 1175 Halsema Rd., N. The event will take place Saturday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Jan.
31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
