Day of Peace at Arlington Heights Elementary

In the show’s final segment, students at Arlington Heights Elementary participate in the international observance “Day of Peace,” while also communicating their theme for the year “One World, Many Cultures.” Students gathered outside their classrooms throughout the hallways and made a large circle around the school to symbolize their togetherness. Kindergarten teacher, Maria Tuttobene, organized the event at Arlington Heights in hopes that the children would become inspired and see peace as a way of life.
