Jacksonville Children's Commission Honors New
Superintendent
The
board and staff of the Jacksonville Children's
Commission hosted a reception on November 26 to
honor Ed Pratt-Dannals, left, upon his appointment
as the new Superintendent of Duval County Public
Schools. About 100 executives of non-profit
organizations in Jacksonville, community leaders and
government officials came to the JCC headquarters at
1095 A. Phillip Randolph Blvd. to greet Mr.
Pratt-Dannals. Citing his distinguished three-decade
career as an educator and administrator in Duval
County, Michael Munz, chair of JCC board, second
from left, said Mr. Pratt-Dannals is well-equipped
to lead the nation’s 20th largest school
district. In brief remarks, the new Superintendent
outlined his five goals that will guide the work of
the school district for next two years.
