Duval County Public Schools Launches Service Excellence Project
JACKSONVILLE - The Department of Community and Family Engagement launched the Service Excellence Project today to empower all stakeholders to work together to create and maintain a welcoming and culturally respectful environment.
The project is the first district-wide effort to establish positive and collaborative relationships between Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) administration and the schools; and the schools and the community.
“As we align our work with the District Strategic Plan, we must stress the importance of one of our goals – Engaging the family and the community,” said Chief of Staff and Partnerships, Dr. Alvin White. “Our office is designed to support this effort by launching this project, as well as others to ensure the success of our students.”
Schools and administrative departments are tasked with completing training through three Service Excellence workshops, (Creating Welcoming Work Environments, Team Building and Conflict Resolution). Once training is complete, a certificate is awarded that recognizes them as a Service Excellence Workplace.
Benefits of Participating in the Service Excellence Project:
-
Develops high performance employees that operate together as high performing teams for the benefit of students, families, parents and the community
- Increases and reinforces that internal and external customer service is everyone’s job
- Continually builds the pride of being a DCPS employee and to remain one of the best places to work in Jacksonville.
