Media Advisory: North Shore Inauguration Ceremony

WHO:
North Shore K-8 students, faculty and community members, and Duval County Judge Gary Flower.

WHAT:
North Shore K-8 School, the only Duval County Public School offering the MicroSociety magnet program, will be conducting its first Student Inauguration Ceremony.

MicroSociety is an innovative concept in which students from diverse backgrounds create a miniature society within the school, with each student child having an important role in running that world, including mayor, police officers, entrepreneurs and others.

Students formed their government by developing a constitution and holding student elections. During the ceremony, newly elected student officials will take the oath of office and be sworn in by Judge Flower.
