Media Advisory: Duval County Spelling Bee
WHO:
Twenty-one elementary and middle school students from 17 public and four private schools will represent Duval County in the county Spelling Bee.
WHAT:
The Duval County Spelling Bee is sponsored by The Florida Times-Union, and is conducted according to the contest rules of the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee.
The winner of the Duval County Spelling Bee will compete against other regional winners at The Florida Times-Union Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m. The winner of the regional bee will compete in the national spelling bee, scheduled May 24-29 in Washington, D.C.
