Duval County Public Schools Hosts Community Dialogue Meetings on Transportation
JACKSONVILLE - Duval County Public Schools (DCPS) is hosting meetings to inform parents about the potential changes to student transportation for the 2009/2010 school year.
Community members began meeting in January to complete a comprehensive review of how we use our school bus transportation system. The Community Dialogue meetings will provide an overview of the potential scenarios created by the working group.
Below is a schedule of the meetings. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend to learn about the review process and the 1,000 school bus routes being considered for potential revision in neighborhoods throughout the county.
All meetings begin at 6 p.m. Dates and locations are:
* Very similar material will be presented at each meeting, so only one meeting needs to be attended
- Tuesday, February 17, 2009 – Raines High School, 3663 Raines Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32209
- Thursday, February 19, 2009 – Twin Lakes Middle School, 8050 Point Meadows Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32256
