Duval County School Board Recognizes Staff and Veterans
Jacksonville, FL - During the presentation portion of the July Duval County School Board meeting, Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals and Board members recognized the following staff members and veterans of World War II and the Korean Conflict:
The following veterans received their high school diploma:
- Willis Fowler, World War II
- George Page, Korean Conflict
- A.H. Shediac, World War II
- David Esqueda, World War II
The following school PTA/PTSA chapters were recognized for increasing their 2008-2009 membership by 100 or more over the previous school year:
- Greenland Pines Elementary
- Holiday Hill Elementary
- Landmark Middle
- Julia Landon Middle
- Mandarin Middle
- Ortega Elementary
- Sandalwood High
The following schools were recognized for their efforts during DCPS and Duval Teachers United 2008 United Way Campaign:
