Duval County Public Schools’ seeks input on Competitive Grants to Pursue through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)
Jacksonville, Fla. - On February 17, President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) into law. Through this law, more than $100 billion was appropriated for Education programs, including $53.6 billion for a State Fiscal Stabilization Fund.
Duval County Public Schools is seeking community input on the competitive grants we should pursue in order to ensure that our district becomes the best large urban school district in the Country.
“Our goal is to provide an education that will ensure all students graduate ready for post-secondary education and the world of work,” said Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals. “Community input into this process is essential in providing our stakeholders with an opportunity to share in the decision making process.”
