Media Advisory: Achieving College Together (ACT)
WHAT:
Duval County School Board member Betty Burney, District 5, along with the Butler Alumni Group will host a media day to announce the new Achieving College Together (ACT) Mentoring and Scholarship Program to students at Eugene Butler Middle School.
The ACT program will be open to students in grades seven and eight, and will team at-risk and disadvantaged youth attending Eugene Butler Middle and William M. Raines High schools with mentors, including college students, faith-based community members and Eugene Butler Alumni.
