Duval County School Board Announces Superintendent Evaluation
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. —
Duval County School Board members today provided Superintendent
Ed Pratt-Dannals with his evaluation for the period of October
2008 to August 2010.
The Superintendent was evaluated in
seven areas of responsibility, including relationships with the
Board, community relationships, staff and organizational
relationships, educational leadership, fiscal leadership,
personal qualities and an overall performance rating.
“The annual evaluation is an
opportunity to share concerns with the Superintendent relative
to the overall operation of the district and the continuous
improvement of student achievement,” said Board Chairwoman
Brenda Priestly Jackson. “Consistent with the evaluation of the
members of the Board, there is overwhelming confidence in
Superintendent Pratt-Dannals’ ability to lead the district and
prepare all students to participate in a knowledge-based global
economy. The evaluations reveal areas that need improvement;
however, through the individual evaluations, Superintendent’s
self-assessment and alignment with the district’s Strategic
Plan, we should be well on our way to becoming one of the best
large urban districts in the country. ”
