Duval County School Board recognizes employees and an elementary school during monthly meeting
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - During
the
presentation portion of the monthly meeting of the Duval
County School Board, Superintendent Ed Pratt-Dannals and Board
members recognized employees and an elementary school for their
outstanding accomplishments and contributions to Duval County
Public Schools:

The Duval Art
Teachers Association recognized
Sheridan Brown, the principal at
Enterprise Learning Academy, as their
Principal of the Year;
-
Members of the Budget
Department were recognized for assisting the
district in obtaining the Government Officers
Association of the United States and Canada’s
Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the
Association of School Business Officials
International’s Meritorious Budget Award;
and
-
Englewood Elementary
was recognized for making Adequate Yearly
Progress (AYP) after two years of being in
school improvement.
Duval County Public Schools operates 172 schools and serves approximately 123,000 students. The school district is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities that will inspire all students to acquire and use the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a global economy and culturally diverse world.
