Duval County Public Schools Recognizes Black History Month

Jacksonville, FL - In honor of Black History Month, public schools throughout Duval County will be participating in a wide variety of programs and events that celebrate African-American history.

Events include book readings, guest speakers, historical re-enactments, presentations of African-American music, literature and arts, and more.

Duval County Public Schools operates 172 schools and serves approximately 123,000 students. The school district is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities that will inspire all students to acquire and use the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a global economy, and culturally diverse world.
