Jeb Stuart Middle School Participates in Nationwide
Fight Against Obesity
Jacksonville, FL - On Tuesday, May 3 at 1:42
p.m. Jeb Stuart Middle School students will dance simultaneously with students
across the country in an effort to end childhood obesity. The event is called
“Let’s Move! Flash Workout,” and features 16-time Grammy Award winner Beyonce’
in support of First Lady Michelle Obama’s initiative aimed at helping overweight
children.
At exactly 1:42 p.m.,
middle school students from across the country will participate
in a pre-choreographed dance routine. Beyonce’ herself re-wrote
and re-recorded one of her songs and provided an instructional
video to schools demonstrating the dance/exercise routine.
Jeb Stuart Middle School is the only
Duval County public school chosen to participate in the event.
