State Recognizes Duval County Public Schools’ Plan for Intervene Schools
Jacksonville, FL - The State Board of Education voted unanimously today to support Duval County Public Schools’ plan to allow an educational management organization to oversee the district’s four intervene schools.
The educational management organization, Duval Partners for Excellent Education, Inc., will only step in should the district’s four intervene schools not make enough progress toward exiting the intervene status. The four intervene schools are Raines High School, Ribault High School, Andrew Jackson High School and Northshore K-8.
Duval County Public Schools operates 172 schools and serves approximately 123,000 students. The school district is committed to providing high quality educational opportunities that will inspire all students to acquire and use the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a global economy, and culturally diverse world.
